SEO Assessment

The purpose of the SEO Assessment is to review and evaluate your site, identify potential problems and provide recommendations.

An SEO Assessment provides a starting point from which to plan your website SEO strategies. We recommend that you begin by choosing an SEO Assessment service from the options listed below. This helps us to get a good idea of your current website situation (SEO Fundamentals Site Review), or a complete understanding of your website's present and future SEO needs (SEO Strategic Site Review).

Once we complete your SEO Assessment you will have an SEO Blueprint to guide you to improved Search Engine rankings. The next step is to then implement the recommendations, either in-house, with your web developer, or we can assist you with the implementation on a simple hourly-rate basis.

An SEO Fundamentals Site Review normally requires around 8 hours of consulting over 5 business days to complete and follows a comprehensive SEO Audit checklist and site review designed to identify SEO opportunities and any issues that may affect your website's SEO activity.

Included in the checklist are items such as:

• Hosting/IP address check - If you are on a shared hosting platform, we check to see that your site is not hosted in a "bad neighbourhood" (i.e. sharing the same IP address with sites that search engines frown upon)
• Check use of Flash and frames - excessive use of these can negatively affect SEO
• Number of indexed pages vs published pages
• HTML and CSS validation to W3C standards
• Site not cloaking or hiding text

An SEO Strategic Site Review normally requires around 25 hours of consulting over 10 business days to complete and includes not only a comprehensive SEO Audit checklist and site review, but also an in-depth exploration of your website to identify any issues and potential problems, as well as to uncover opportunities to improve your web site's overall visibility, rankings and traffic in the search engines.

We review areas such as:

At the end of the assessment, we provide an SEO Strategic Assessment Report that includes website issues that need to be resolved and instructions on how to fix these issues. The report also includes a prioritized list of recommendations for SEO and marketing of your web site.
